Thank you for trusting me to produce as many as +6.6k HIVE blocks for about 4 years! Does not look like lots, but there are WAY smarter people than me... so if you consider that... I am just fortunate to be around such great people.

And on Hive Engine, I think I have recently passed around the 2 MILLION mark in produced blocks! It does not really translate the same way on the layer 2 as on native layer 1, but just for context. My real witness journey started there... so I have to thank all those many witnesses that helped me learn there.

People on Hive for me have really big outcomes in my eyes! Why? Because I see it from their eyes, mine, and from many more probably... needs verification as usual... this is just my feeling.
So, and to bridge this... not that she knows or necessarily cares. But I am going to use her account as an example.
She's Guac, but I doubt she will ever listen to me. I "like" as many posts as I can from her's on X (example)... maybe one day it will tell her something? 🤷♂️

Para mim, é um misto de muitas coisas, mas o meu optimismo não vem do preço, mas da forma como esse tem evoluído. Mas sim do valor das coisas que já aprendi, e que provavelmente nunca teria aprendido se nunca cá estivesse.
Por detrás das cortinas muitas coisas acontecem que maior parte das pessoas aqui não tem noção e não que isso seja o correcto ou o errado da motivação de estar por aqui, mas é o que é, e para mim sempre foi valorizado, assimilado da melhor forma que pude, and depois transformado no valor que eu consigo dar a outras pessoas, quer em forma de contribuição pública no chain ou por detrás das cortinas, para aqueles que não têm tanto avontade, ou simplesmente não vale a pena dependendo da situação (por exemplo, pra resolver bugs e coisas assim, não que não dê pra fazer tudo no chain... mas começa a ser uma forma the spam e não julgo que adicione muito valor em maior parte das vezes).
Enfim, também irei ficar por cá muito tempo. E estou muito curioso sobre o que vai acontecer quando o Bitcoin disparar... sendo que estas coisas já seguem bots em todo lado, os preços andam mais ou menos em par.
A outra coisa que muita gente ainda não notou, é que quando os preços são assim muito baixos, existe um nível de filtragem que não acontece quando preço do Hive era muito alto. Que é, as pessoas são menos, sim, mas as que ficam são mais "saudáveis". E como consequência, o desenvolvimento do chain é mais saudável.
Eu estaria ainda confortável a testar valores ainda mais baixos do Hive, para tentar perceber se aqueles idiotas a roubar centimos, continuam a fazer a mesma coisa ou desistem porque para continuarem a vender teriam que deixar algum powered up, que começa a ser algo substancial.
A outra coisa é a curation, que deixa de existir para contas sem HP... essa feature para mim é brutalmente interessante. E eu diria que até deveria ser mais acentuada… por exemplo, o mínimo deveria ser 10 centavos para que a maior parte dos impostores desapareça.
E isto tudo porque também tenho curiosidade de saber como a experiência se desenrolaria. Quem iria desistir, e quantos novos iriam vir para tentarem a sorte grande.
Como te digo, isto é a experiência mais fascinante em que já alguma vez pude estar envolvido. E só por isso, já valeu todo o meu tempo.

100% de acordo na questão da aprendizagem, é sem duvida o ponto forte desta blockchain para mim; e ter conhecido pessoas que agora são amigos na "vida real" também. Aminha falta de optimismo não tem a ver com o preço, tem a ver com a gestão: quando os fundos do DHF são usados como são, quando se pagam 90k a alguém como retroactivos porque "se trabalhou para a blockchain", etc... tudo isso causa bem mais dano que impostores a drenar 10 ou 20 dolares por mÊs com spam. Ninguém no seu perfeito juízo vai investir em força numa blockchain assim, e aos pouco users que até tinham stake valente fazem as malas e vão para outras paragens. Enfim, é o que é! Abraço!

Nunca! Mas desde o início que vi logo o potencial disto. Em termos de reputação e o "secret sauce" de conhecer as pessoas e aprender muito com muita gente, depois foi só ter consistência naquilo que já era na realidade (por isso não foi difícil ficar por aqui) e adicionar valor da melhor forma que cada um consegue.
Mas nunca pensei ter o que tenho hoje... e tudo porque fui sempre acumulando. E tive a sorte de não ser perseguido no old chain... não sei se teria a mesma sorte nos dias de hoje.

For me is way more than that. In short words, it also gives me more governance power, and allows me to curate with more stake. Being able to decide what I value or what I don't.
I would obviously like everyone else to sell a bit of it to HBD if prices go very high, but that's actually normal, because IF the price goes down again, I would love to be prepared again.
Costs aside, which need to be covered obviously, are my last worry (for myself), although if it starts to be something that reduces the chain security, then obviously I would worry and would try to help in whichever ways I can.
I'm not much active on X as I'm regular on Hive.... Can i get verification on Hive too?? I mean how...
What I meant with that comment was, if some random people on X finds this on Hive, and wants to help doing something like Guac for HIVE on X, then I need to validate that the person A on X is the person Y on Hive. Because I am not going to randomly do this for someone I can't point to on Hive, obviously.
That's the kind of verification I meant.

Nice, Congrats! On these low Hive Price i'm paying on top of my costs for running a Witness...
You and everyone, yeah, I know...
Although, even if I have my own stuff, I can't (should not) be a witness example (but I am fortunate that things are way cheaper now). Although electricity almost everywhere is going up... In NZ, electricity has been following above inflation, and on average, the country pays around 35 cents per kW/h (I'm paying less than this because in Wellington it is way cheaper)... How much is it in Germany right now?
And like everyone, this is a process... Maybe someday we can run so many Hive nodes that the cost is so negligible anyone can run it on cell phones. The technology is certainly going in that direction. And we already know that is already possible (given there are phones with 16 GB of RAM already).
