Actually the problem is the rewards people are getting are very small, the incentive is just not there. Look at the trending posts, maybe twenty odd dollars for a post from someone who gets votes from the big guys. Frankly I think the problem is the Hive hierarchy tried to grab too much, games, Tweeter imitations, I mean too much, it just turned the basic idea which was just writing articles to earn a reward into a second tier purpose. The vote circle jerking did not help at all, Hive was made solely on the basis of destroying Steemit and putting one up on Justin Sun. Right now both platforms are seeing their token prices at very low levels and I see no reason for the price to go up. If the price does not go up, writing rewards stay down, and this is a circular problem. You can pay anyone a lot of money to get people on board and that person might do it, but keeping these people on board and active will be very difficult. I myself only send the Actifit report because writing an article on Hive gets me two or three votes. Why should I waste my time? And most people think like that.

Please reread the post. This idea is about brining in an audience not bringing in more amateur content creators. The fact that people can’t even wrap their head around someone coming here for a reason other than getting rewards for posting is a huge problem. This is about changing a mindset. In this idea, The incentive for the people to come here and power up hive is to be an audience or a player not a content creator. They would not need a single vote to encourage them to stay. They would stay because they want to stay because they want to read/watch/play.
