Best method for starting seeds - daily thoughts 002

Chilli seeds (and most other seeds) can be quite difficult to germinate straight in soil. One of the easiest methods I've found is the wet paper towel method (this can also work with tissue or cloth) simply spray a sheet of paper towel or run it under a tap gently enough that you don't rip it. Wring it out so it's not dripping wet and put it on a plate or bench top. From here you place your seeds you wish to germinate on one half of the paper towel (see image below)

From here you simply fold the moist paper towel over once or twice and place it in a zip lock bag, then you'll want to label your bag with the seed variety and that date, place it somewhere out of direct sunlight where it's warm (ontop of a fridge, hot water system or even in a cupboard depending on where you live) then you'll want to check it every 24 hours or so to make sure the paper towel is still moist (spray with water if needed) and to wait and see a white tap root coming out of the seed. Once the tap root is out you can place it in some soil, water it in and you'll be away in no time! This method is very helpful when figuring out germination rates, for instance if you did it with 100 seeds and 88 germinate that's an 88% germination rate.

Today after a rainy & wet day at work I came home to mist the seedlings and managed to get some more seeds on towel for germination ( 20 x reaper, 20 x cayenne and 20 x birdseye) I'm still testing the waters and looking at what would be the best market and so far im leaning towards the whole plant market.
Remember the more streams of income you can make the better off you'll be. One day when your time is up I'd much rather say "oh well" if something didn't work out instead of thinking "what if?" Don't wait around. Grab your idea and try!
Thanks for taking the time to read guys
