First post on hive, and some news on my proposal.

in #hive4 years ago

Hello,

First post on hive ! I can't say is has been smooth sailing, I haven't slept a lot over the past week and am still working hard to get everything to work. So some quick news on my end :

I intend to work fully on hive and drop steem, that means migrating (and renaming) steempress, all of my open source projects will soon be migrated there. It's still a work in progress, I hope to get everything done by this weekend.

On the sps side of things, my proposal to test the smts is still up, as you can imagine, the time isn't really for smts anymore, we will probably release them, but the time is definitely not there for that update for now.

I have been working closely with @netuoso and @blocktrades on core steem developments to make hive a thing and I think I will continue doing core developments using that proposal, when this one will run out I will put up another one with a better text.

Writing core blockchain code is obviously harder than just testing it but the skillset is relatively close so I feel that it's fair to use the same the proposal with the same pay. And I think that my time is better allocated working on getting this chain off the ground than cancelling this one and putting up another one.

If you disagree with this feel free to unvote the proposal.

That's all for me, this was a short post I just wanted to get you guys updated on everything. I am bullish as ever, this is truly a historic moment, and seeing how steem is going down the drain with actions like 100% downvotes on posts with the ninja mined stake and censoring posts just reinforces how much decentralizing the chain was needed.

Finally, this is a call to arms, everyone can do something for hive, be it bug reporting, spreading the word, doing actual code, creating marketing material, curating or jut writing good old posts like you are used to, please go for it, we need all the help we can get :)

Hive on !
