Yesterday, I tried to convert HBD to BTC via V4V. It didn't work. The transfer got stuck. I didn't get a refund.
So I wrote on @magi.network Discord channel.
Dr Brian of London created a thread and replied to me, sending a link to the website that stole my active key.
A moment later, I realized that it wasn't a hacker who stole my key through Magi, but that Dr Brian of London's account had been hacked [EDIT: the account wasn't even hacked, it was just a fake account that wrote to me], and I had been talking to a scammer impersonating him.
What now? Of course, I changed my passwords immediately.
My 298 HBD is still in the @wobe11 account...
There are a lot of scammers on Discord and I have encountered some. I think we should make more use of the messaging options in peakd and ecency as you can be more sure of who you are talking to.

If you can confirm you're completely back in control of this account I can refund your original transaction, I'm sorry this happened, the site can't physically stop people sending Hive but the front end should not have worked, I suspect you had an old cached version. I can't get around this.
I'm now sorry I helped you on Discord the first time, I usually don't do that. Hive is the only place we can guarantee identity.

In such a situation, there should be a block on sending anything. The message said: it may take a “few hours”. The hacker was very well prepared for this situation, because he responded very quickly when I reported the error on Discord.
There was as much of a block as I can put on the front end but fundamentally all my website does is prepare a Hive transaction for you to send to me.
I am unable to make the web page refresh and so in that case your browser just sent me the transaction.
I have your funds for that transaction and will return them but I'm working like mad to make the new system work so will only do that when I'm done.
Please also confirm here 100% that you have control of this account and you've changed all the keys and that the thief doesn't have any control.
