@globalschool is an initiative based on @ideamachine created with PhD Eng. A. Angeletou (AIT) several years ago when I was living in Vienna. After winning the public price at the 10th anniversary of the Vienna Business Agency (CityHype contest), our project got the attention slowly of @manncpt his organisation @opt2o and other great guys such as @generationeuropa @mammasitta or @ionart @artcanhelp @silkroad40 and many others with whom we've created and run this globalschool to make the awarded project more tangible/concrete.
Globalschool is an incubator for the new workspace. In one hand it offers entrepreneurs, organisations and business help in their communication needs (video/photos/images/website/posters/flyers/business cards/...) in exchange of their expertises for tutoring students. We have been lucky to cooperate with a lot of schools through some partners.
Globalschool is unique in many points as the learners manage somehow themselves and are invited to explore a number of skills in order to get an EU recognized certificate. Another unique thing is that we are involving the learners in exploring tools such as AI and blockchain but as most of them are not 18, some others have other difficulties such as being introvert we need to give a frame. For those reasons, we offer them, their schools and parents a kind of "proxy" by providing community accounts and tutoring/coaching (even after their internship if they ask for it). So more than 300 students per year receive owner keys and are asked to give them to the next learners but they still have the keys. At the exception of few cases this social experience seems to be a success as it continues to run the last 3 years with me being in Belgium. @globalschool account was still running maybe less as its less easy for me to handle so many students remotely while working also on our new contribution platform that we can finally share.
However I am in constant contact with most of our teams and students who are not english speakers. with @hivefrance @solidarity and many others I am doing my best to support the mentors and tutors in the moderation and 'behavior' of the community as our goal is to bring ot share values. So, we came up with a system to manage the editorial, we have contributors in one side and communication pool in another side who work on the contribution prior posting anywhere, but even with that our students/volunteers/members are still free of behaving, just we are trying to limit the escalation by mediating if we can, that's why nobody replied probably some get feedback and didn't know how to handle it.
About EU, many things to say: 1° we try to help organisations/govs with what we've learned by winning the EU Youth award in 2015, work with the EBU and many EU DGs and 2° cooperate with great organisations leaders such as from the AI/IOT to develop standards and practical solutions regarding the problems expressed in the manifesto for the portability of users rights.
Also, again I am sorry for any of the behavior of one of our community member or mine if it has been displaced. The exposition on social media is a strange discovery and reminds to some of us maybe battefields grounds from video games or just the hard reality of not feeling well connected.
