At one time. I delegated to an anti-abuse initiative. Now I don't and I don't support the Hive Watchers DHF proposal. One mechanism of protest would be to see the DHF proposal defunded until more constructive policies were adopted.

I have both reported and challenged individual cases. Sometimes people are getting downvoted and, when asked, there doesn't appear to be any reason at all and the downvotes are stopped. Downvotes are also used if an account is compromised, (for example, if a bad actor has got hold of any of their keys), but no message has been left to explain that or where to get help.

Tackling abuse can be a grind and sometimes it can be very widespread - 18,000 accounts were created and causing disruption as an example. Perhaps one way that Hivewatchers is coping is to add accounts to a bot until they have alternative information - hence the continued downvoting. Perhaps what we all have to do is query a downvoted account with Hivewatchers when we see one and check what the problem is.

Although the downvotes on this account don't seem to be coming from Hive Watchers?

Those are Marky's accounts, but he's one of the few whales/witnesses that works with HW so I'm assuming its how it happened. As you can see he's not interacted, and he has no problem being shy about fighting abuse. I'll go out on a limb and say this is automated.
