I hope to be wrong, but I strongly doubt that I will. The truth is, when things get bad—when we reach the bottom of the bear, as the kids say—people’s ugliest sides tend to surface.
There’s a big chance we’ll stay in these lower prices for a while. A combination of factors, I suppose, but nothing that really surprises me. After all, Fartcoin is up, so the whole idea of analyzing things with logic seems irrelevant.
With all that said, what I’m really trying to convey to anyone who follows this blog is simple: we should try to do better. When the fighting starts, when the finger-pointing gets ugly, we should aim to be stronger and better people than we’ve been in the past.
For the newcomers, what’s about to happen—or what we’re beginning to see—might cause some emotional discomfort. I get that. But I promise you, we’ve been here before. And I’ve never seen anyone burn the boats, so to speak, and be glad they did.
Just today, I saw another long-time Hivean let his darkest side come out. One could argue, and I would agree, that what this person said—the racist, disgusting things—weren’t caused by Hive’s current valuation, but by someone allowing themselves to be “more honest,” to put it plainly.
Yes, some people are fake, especially when there’s money to be made. But thankfully, most people are good. The sad part is that when someone does the “boat burning,” they usually wait some time before trying to reinsert themselves into the community.
I’ve seen it happen many times: a rage quit of sorts. They insult everyone, accuse whales of being monsters or scammers, and burn every bridge they can. Then, when the weather clears, they return with a “Long time no see, guys!” post.
It’s not that I keep tabs, but I also don’t forget easily—and I think most stakeholders don’t either. At least not the ones who wear the jersey, so to speak.
But why am I talking about this, you ask? Consider it an invitation to maturity. We all need to accept that there are things we can’t change. We need to be strict with ourselves and gentle with the world. We need to check our expectations and adapt to the punches—because they will come.
If you feel like this isn’t for you, that’s fine. No judgment from me. But leaving doesn’t mean you have to kick the dog on your way out. And it certainly doesn’t require spitting in the face of those who were once kind to you.

I never get involved in the drama. I'm here for the fun of blogging and the enjoyment of being part of global communities of interesting people. Quite honestly, I have no idea what has gone down. That said, I've seen Hive politics so many times over the years and I agree with you completely. Maturity and self-control would go a long way toward preventing the periodic meltdowns!
I usually don't say anything... but this time It got way too ugly. I had to ban the user from our app. I just can't have that kind of stuff on @snapie
I must have missed all the drama 😀
It might be best that you did, to be honest
I hope Hive can be fixed because right now it's broken
Blocktrades needs to help the good people on Hive not the one's running shady projects and farms
And the bad downvotes need to stop 🛑
