I thought of another criticism/opinion to add...
I do not believe mass adoption is possible with the voting system the way it is. It makes sense that the most invested have the most voting power sure. But that's not going to mean anything to average users. They're going to see a post with 4 upvotes getting 60.78 and a post with 250 upvotes getting 1.23 and not understand it. Or even worse a post with 120 upvotes and 1 or 2 downvotes with 0.00. Then when they do learn what that means they're not going to like it and abandon the platform just as quick as they joined.
I would suggest there needs to be a power to quantity ratio algorithm for payouts. Something that would allow the community as a whole to counter the powerful few. Something that doesn't necessarily take the power away from those who have invested heavily but it does keep them in check some if enough of the community disagrees with what they are doing.
