Every now and then I happen to stumble upon a crypto project that stands out amongst a very crowded scene of failed crypto projects. It doesn't often happen, rarely in fact, but I won't lie I have been completely captivated by this new crypto venture from Magic Labs called Magic Newton.
I became interested in Newton after I saw some of my fellow Hivians chatting about it in the Bro Discord server and I'm delighted that I stumbled upon it. I posted about it last week and in the space of that week a lot has happened.
The registration process is a simple email sign up and you're then into the Portal. I won't go into all the registration details again as I discussed them in my previous post about Newton.
But during the past week I have managed to increase my Ethereal Credits through mining activities only. I have done this by completing various tasks via the Portal and the Guild, as well as satisfying various conditions required of Newtonians on Discord. In addition I have helped to onboard two Hivians to Newton which has given us all extra Credits. Altogether I have now increased my Ethereal Credits to 815. The great thing about Newton is the interaction between the Portal, the Guild and the Discord server, they all work in harmony with each other. It has certainly been a very interesting journey so far.
I have so far helped to onboard @meno and @bradleyarrow to Newton. I am actually tempted to start a Hive Newton community so we can all congregate, help each other mine more Ethereal Credits and discuss latest developments. If any of you other guys and girls want to jump onboard at this, what feels like a pre-mining, stage of the game let me know before you sign up and I can give you a link to give you an additional 50 Credits.
I think it might be really useful if we have our own Newton community here on Hive, I'm also pretty sure Magic Labs would appreciate it too. It might bring in some mutual engagement actually so I will get thinking and talking to people.

There has been some issues with the Newton Discord server recently as it has hit the 500,000 member cap already, which is insane!
However, some of the project leaders have been in contact with Discord in an attempt to get the cap increased to 1m, which would be incredible and perhaps even unprecedented for a Discord server.
Either way they should sort the situation out very soon, and if they don't get a cap increase they will start to prune inactive accounts, although I can't imagine there would be too many inactive accounts at this stage of the game.
We still don't know where this is all going. What we do know is that the project founders have a decent and established reputation within the cryptopshere. They have secured $83m backing for Newton and the whole project, so far, is a very slick setup with no token as yet associated with it. We are not investing a single penny at this stage, simply mining. It's all very intriguing and captivating at the same time.
In some ways I feel like I am shilling for this project but all I'm doing is trying to spread the word about a project I am very excited about. I promise you I am not on Magic Newton's payroll!
