Think good stuff can definitely come out of this (there has to be some good coming out of it because a lot of it is godawful, not just people dying but also the dystopian nightmare tracking which is being pushed as necessary and beneficial and could even be so but I'm paranoid).
Obviously, it was a fictional event, the goal being to describe people behavior in stressful situations. But I get what you're saying :)
