Hello there, ecency community! I am thrilled but maybe more intrigued is the right word, to finally be making my official entrance into the world of Ecency. Id be honest I honestly don’t know what to expect with this but im ready to go with the journey and see where it leads. Hopefully somewhere good and I’d be like “I wish id signed up sooner” To give you a little background on who I am,I am a sociologist by training, having completed my undergraduate studies in Sociology before moving to the United Kingdom to further my education in Essex, I recently completed my Master’s degree in Criminology here in the U.K., an experience that has deeply shaped my understanding of human behavior and the complexities of justice, id definitely like to interact with people here and hear their opinions on stuff.
The timing of my joining Ecency is quite significant. I have been living in the U.K. for a while now, but the season for me to head back home to Nigeria is fast approaching. It is a transitional period filled with a mix of nostalgia and anticipation, and I felt there was no better time than now to document this new chapter.
I actually first heard about this platform last year when I was introduced to it by @zubygee, he’s a cousin of mine and I saw his post of ecency on X or twitter if you would and I decided to give it a try. While the seed was planted then. Between finishing my Master’s and tending to my family back at home, I just couldn't find the rhythm to start. However, I have officially made it a priority to just start, I believe the most important step is always to start. With a bit more free time on my hands, i will love to be integrated to the platform.
I just primarily want to use this medium to sharpen my writing skills and stretch my creative muscles. I’ve always had a passion for expression, and I believe that the community here is the perfect environment to foster that growth. Whether I'm reflecting on my transition back to Nigeria, sharing insights from my background in criminology or just writing on random things, I hope to contribute something meaningful to the platform but first if you are reading this, pointing me to a guide will be wonderful or id just surf the platform and find suitable guide and integrate.
