I was released.. by order of the Emperor of Tamriel Uriel Septim VII. I have no idea why. I was transported by ship to Sayda Neen, where I disembarked to complete the paperwork so that I could finally move freely again. I was then recommended to carry reports to the city of Balmora, to a certain Caius Cosades. I was given a weapon, a dagger, and some Septims. Enough to cover some expenses. I won't get very far with this amount, but it's a good start. I'll pay a visit to this Caius Cosades, but I have other plans in mind. I'm going to live freely!

I arrived in Balmora at night, the storm was rumbling with a thick driving rain. My first thought was that I found it picturesque. At night all cats are gray. I took the opportunity to glean a few goods here and there, pilfering crates, barrels, jars, and anything else that can be looted without the risk of being arrested again. I don't really have a choice. I have to make up for it. Wandering around the streets while scouting the place, I finally found a merchant's shop open, even at night. Foreigners are not always welcome, but I managed to get a few more Septims. Maybe when I come back to trade, I'll be able to make a connection with this merchant. Hopefully with lower purchase prices and higher sales.

I had to find a place to rest, a bed to recover from the long journey that had brought me here. Nevertheless, I decided to go in search of this mysterious Caius Cosades in order to give him his reports. The affair would be thus settled. After meeting the intermediary who told me where I could find him, I went to his home in a notoriously bad part of Balmora. The rain had stopped, but it was still dark when I finally arrived at Caius Cosades' house.
