Hello SPIers, today we look at something I saw recently related to CTP -clicktrackprofit. This is not a project we are invested in because I have never really seen the value but there is no question that CTP is a big project with many sub-projects under it and lots of non-HIVE websites.
The thing I saw was that CTP was sold and now has a new owner. There's a little controversy within their community at the minute with the community claiming the operator that sold it took a bunch of HIVE from some miner sales and rugged them. Im not interested in that but when money is involved, there will always be someone thats not happy. Im more interested in the fact you can actually sell a project on HIVE. This is something I thought about before, Im 96% sure I wrote a post about it as well. The idea was to sell pre-made token projects so anyone could have an SPI are EDS project.
Maybe this buyer is a unicorn but maybe there are people out there who would like to operate a simple investment-style project but do not want to set it up or do not know how to set one up. We could set up all the coding work required, create the tokenomics, and the brand images/promotional graphics and even help with the launch post.
All at a cost of course and we'd work with people to make each project unique. A few hundred dollars invested today could be earning someone a few hundred dollars every week or even day if they stick with it for a few years and grind it out.
What do you think? Is there a market for out-of-the-box investment-style projects? I dont understand why more dont start projects on HIVE. From personal experience, it's easier to operate a project compared to posting content and pays better as well.

I think this would be great for the right person or group, as long as SPI gets a chunk of the tokens. 😉
There has to be a few people out there or group like you suggest that would what this.
We'd get a monthly fee from it (for server, code maintenance, etc) $20 a month a something.
I'd not expect free tokens and would be happy to invest for SPI the same as everyone else.
Good point. I guess the Hive universe is currently too small and the most obvious projects have already been pursued already.
But good to know that if I have an idea and search for a partner to make a tokenized project out of it, I would come to you :)
The only one I was pondering about was the chess tournaments which I run. Would be cool to create a token around it but the costs to set it up would be not worth it.
I can think of 10 different investment-style projects easily, there are tons HIVE does not have.
Hmmm, chess tournaments? Not sure how to monetize that but im sure there would be a way 🤑

When there's other people's money, they are usually the unhappy ones at some point and for some reason. When it's your money, you only have to stress about losing your money, not other people's money. 😀
From what I see, most operators dont care about other people's money but I guess you have a point at the same time.
