This post is to inform everyone of my intent to fully suport the Hive blockchain. Shortly after the fork in a few hours, I will "power down" all of my Steem accounts, starting with this one (@steemed), and continuing in descending order of Steem Power. I intend to fully sell all my liquidated Steem over time, in a way that balances profits with my intent to shift all support for the Steem project to Hive.
I will remain "powered up" indefinitely on the Hive blockchain.
Once fully divested from the Steem blockchain, I will use any funds from Steem sales (minus taxes) to support Hive, either by buying the Hive token for vesting, or through other forms of contribution.
Currently most of my voting power is proxied to @sndbox, to support their wonderful contributions to the Steem community. I will continue to fully support @sndbox on Hive, but my support for this project will necessarily end on the Steem blockchain over the next 13 weeks, consummate with the reduction of my Steem Power.
Steem has been a great experiment in blockchain, but it has had its problems. Although I won't discuss these problems here, I do not believe that they will ever be resolved under the Steemit company.
Instead, I believe that Hive and the incredible community emerging behind it will be the next important step to fulfill the vision inspired by Steem nearly four years ago.

Wow..... that's a great exclusive update I have ever heard. And as for Steemit.... It's all about 13 weeks Power Down rules. Thanks my friend @steemed. Hive contains more thousands of talented young folks who do daily hard work to create Original good content who at the end of the seven days write up no reward to show for their hard... Farming, artist, traveling lovers, gamers, sports, cooking, Photographer, Vloggers and more ...I will be so much grateful if you can look critically beyond my observation on hive... thanks so much for your high contribution on hive community. I wrote a proposal for a Hive Community Bank capitolized by the DHF but belonging to the community. #374. The strongest points are that HCB gives HIVE holders liquidity without forcing them to sell, which preserves long-term upside, may avoid immediate taxable sale events, and protects borrowers from flash-crash liquidations by using yearly reviews instead of twitchy real-time oracle triggers. The model is also easy to understand: borrow up to 50% of collateral value, keep the HIVE powered up in custody, pay a clear upfront fee plus low annual cost, and let borrowers repay later while keeping any future appreciation. Its best selling point is psychological as much as financial: it turns HIVE from “an asset I must sell when I need cash” into “productive collateral I can hold through cycles.”
