What is better to use for publishing posts on HIVE - Markdown or HTML? Well... you can mix them, just make sure to give some space in between two codes.
If you do not have too much blog post styling you will be happy with HIVE editors, because they support pretty much all the common stuff, but you won't be able to post any javascript, iframes ...etc.
Using the Markdown is fairly easier, and faster. For example instead of code with seven different strokes on the keyboard for bold, you can do it with only four identical ( asterixis).
Creating of the tables is also much easier. Instead of grizzly long code, you can do it with a few lines and that is it.
Example of the table:
| Column 1| Column 2|
|-|-|
| Column 1a| Column 2a|
| Column 1b| Column 2b|
But if you want to slide certain elements left-right, you must use HTML. For example you want to have two columns of the text.
<div class=pull-left>
First column, place any content, you can put image links too
</div>
<div class=pull-right>
Second column...
</div>
