I have seen some people expressing some doubts about Hive as the price takes another dip. Other coins are down too, so I assume it is just following the trends. We saw the old coin down below half this price before. $LEO is defying this trend and going up a bit.
I have had some issues with the @ecency app on my Android phone lately. It would crash out as soon as it opened. I had a chat on their support Discord with @melinda010100 and @good-karma who told me that a new version was about to be released. That has fixed the issue. See below for a warning about Discord.
@keychain also has a new release with some useful tools including account recovery. People may not realise that there is a chance to get your account back if someone steals your keys. You need to set up a recovery account who should be someone you really trust. By default it may be set to whoever created your account.

When I raised my issue with Ecency someone popped up to direct me to a separate 'support' channel. There they tried to get details of my wallet. That was irrelevant to my problem and immediately got me suspicious. As soon as they sensed that I was ejected from the channel and all their messages were deleted. Apparently this is a common scam. They can be hard to block as they will just create new accounts. Be very cautious. If you do ask for help then you should not be directed elsewhere and check that people who respond are regulars there. Never ever give anyone your private keys for any cryptocurrency wallet.
Scammers are everywhere online, so beware!

I have been a little less active lately, but I should have fresh things to post about soon when I find the time. I have some regular things I post such as this #FollowFriday and my running via @strava2hive. I want to do more music posts about my progress with drumming too. I do not generally post more than once per day, but then I do not post every day either. I want my posts to be of a certain quality and worth reading. I do not take votes for granted and I want some engagement. Hive is social and that is what will keep people coming back even when rewards are not worth so much. I find Hive better in many ways that corporate social media that tries to exploit you.

In regard to the first paragraph where you mentioned HIVE and LEO prices, I like them both and expect better prices for them in the future.
But at this moment with HIVE about 18 cents, it makes #SURGE (pre selling for 4 Hive) even more attractive. $SURGE pays 0.15 HBD per year (paid weekly) which is a fixed rate. So as Hive goes down, the APR in SURGE goes up. It is now about 21% or 23.3% compounded if you roll each week's payout back to SURGE.
Do you have any thoughts on LSTR and/or SURGE? I see you have some LEO so maybe you've heard of these other 2 tokens in the LEOverse.
I'm glad you recognized that Discord scammer quickly. We always need to be on the lookout for this kind of activity, unfortunately.

I've not looked at Surge, but then I'm not that worried about personal gain. I mostly focus on HP, but it's great that people have all these options.

I faced such a scammer on Discord before. I played along and gave the account details of a freshly created account. His excitement vanished within the blink of an eye when he found that it was an empty wallet! 😂
The recovery account option is quite important. We need to be serious about this option.

It can be fun to lead them along if you have the time. I have done it with some phone scams. They can get quite angry at times.
BTW I just saw some fake Hive Facebook account replying to the official one saying they would send you more back if you sent them some $HIVE. Of course I reported it.

I also had the same technical problem with the Ecency app.
I was a little worried, but it's good to know I wasn't the only one, haha.
I also nearly got caught out in the Discord scam. But a different Hive-based group. So I agree with you that this is common. So that's a great reason for all Hive communities to use PeakD Chat for 1st line support.

Some of these scams are quite clever. It's no wonder some people get caught out. I worry about those who don't know the risks.

I know! I was trying to get some support on a missing transaction. So the wallet references were kind of applicable. But nobody gets my keys or passwords.
However, the amount was small enough to write off. Though I have now got it back. But with the stress of a large amount, I can see how someone could be tricked.

Those fake support things are pretty common on Discord You learn to ignore them pretty quickly and most moderators catch them and delete them in fairly swift order. It's nice to see people are continuing to build and improve on HIVE.
This was my first experience of those scams. I thought it was odd from the start. Maybe I wasted some of their time, but it may be automated.
I'm glad they didn't get you.
Perhaps, some people wouldn't mind if the price of HIVE dropped from $1 or $0.50, as to the trend.
Having it at $0.20 for a long time wasn't ideal for us, and now it is even lower, $0.17.
