I certainly don't have the answers. We've both been around this for a long time and have seen the lack of progress. It's frustrating, but most possible solutions tend to be expensive. We do have good technology and it is well proven.
I don't really get how government or corporate blockchains would work as they would be centrally controlled and so might not be well trusted. Maybe I'm missing something. People have lost accounts for various reasons, but you could lose funds too. I came to Hive to get away from such systems and I hope it can endure.
If HIVE price goes to 0 maybe the ones remain who like (censorship free) writing, saving their content on a blockchain, more than earning. :-)
If people are prepared to run witness nodes then it can keep going. I'm not sure if the price would go to nothing as people do use it. We shall see...
I also not, but as I don't see HIVE as investment anymore - just as a place to put my ideas and experiences - I wouldn't care much.
Get you, to me it would still be kind of important after Splinterlands prize desaster (not saying more)
