Personally I figured out that Hive could be used to store small encrypted files and be s sort of backend backbone for information using only RC to pay for storage I went... Ohh... cool. When I saw how Splinterlands uses NFT's which are resellable, rentable, and even soul bound I kept thinking... Ohhh... How cool would that be for concert tickets, warranty tracking and more.
Your right, at face value its getting paid for social media. However, even there, the financial aspect, the reputation system, and RC required to act mean that I've yet to see a flame war. When people have money on the line and their reputation to think about along with no free spammy accounts? I typically find people think before they post.
Then again, undeletable posts mean foolish drunken posts are a really bad idea hahaha.
