It's also up to people to buy it. Hive's biggest problem is it's earning model. Always has been. Why would anyone want to buy a token that they can just earn for basically doing nothing but writing a blog post?
Because of this, Hive is attractive to 'low-hanging fruit'. Mostly developing countries where people are all about earning without actually providing real value to the chain. And when I say real value, I mean real financial value.
Another major issue is that the whales have essentially driven off people like me who used to try and build real businesses here. They give no support or actively attack businesses because it goes against their narrative or gets in the way of their earnings.
So why would anyone really want to invest in an ecosystem that is more of a value extraction situation than value building?
I tried with Hivelist and Blocktunes to build alternative economies, but people are too worried about filling their fiat bags than building something real.
Those are some big reasons why Hive is pretty much dead in the water at this point and why I have taken majority of my money out of here and have stopped building anything for this ecosystem. I only stick around because all other social media suck, and Hive isn't much better really, kind of more of a force of habit at this point.

Your answer is good, and hard to argue with. Yes, it's true, it's hard to create business here, because someone is deliberately destroying the platform, which is why many good users have jumped out of here.

" ... the problem is that because bot page creation are poured over with gold, so it also pushes real businesses and real pages and creativity away - normal users not earn when you can just put bot and AI work and thats all .. bots are the ones who earn 💁♂️ . Even AI is here to take from as but not to help, it's like a slow cancer that eats the system. Bots...bots...bots 💁♂️💁♂️💁♂️ even Ninjamine is still up and run and lot big bot pages more what come early years here in 2017 ...they are all still here and why 💁♂️💁♂️💁♂️ .
