Saw your post thank you for your support. Steemit failed to put us on the top of the trending page back in 2018 when we released the movie as a series. Making this unconventional way of distributing content a success would have brought more similar project to do the same = huge economy. Looking at the trending page of HIVE now, what is the value proposition of certain post I see? Only one whale could put us there but to do so they would need to take out a finger out of there asses and stop voting themselves on top. much blessings for you bro.

Yeah, the number of self votes doesn't seem to go down, even with all the changes made to the blockchain economy. With HIVE we are still way too small for all sort of communities with some real vote power within such communities, while many users still go where the money is and spend their time accordingly. Guess we need to solve many issues before we can more organically and sincerely establish communities where anything else than money will be the drivers. That said, I think when we have SMT, we shall stop distributing HIVE to content creators and content voters. All that shall be done with community tokens through SMT. The HIVE whales will then be taken out of the content equation. Would be create if those SMT tokens will not be floated to the market from day one, since HIVE whales will be able to buy them in large quantities; Something we shall prevent.
Of topic: I would love to see some kind of partnerships with eg Patreon and other services. When HIVE gets a bit more stabilised and we know a bit better what will come to us next months (we have SMT), then I plan to spend some time to try and bring real businesses onboard, think of independent news services, media services and entertainment in general. Have little connections, other then in the electronic music segment, but have an urge to try and get something real ongoing on our chain.
I am with you. Anything would be better than nothing for sure. I consider myself a pioneer and never waited for anyone to show me the way. My style is I take a machete and create a new road even if I'm not really successful at it, that won't stop me 😎
