I have never used any AI except translation services and Brave AI that is interjected when I use Brave search. It sometimes quite concisely provides the information I am searching for, so I cite it rather than the several sites it condenses into its description.
I have avoided Goolag and similar products since it became obvious that these are surveillance mechanisms, and I act to limit the provision of surveillance data to creepy stalkers to the best of my abilities and knowledge. Like womanly wiles, I'm agin' it.
I am interested in using FOSS AI that I can use on my own hardware, even if it's extremely slow compared to proprietary services, because it doesn't provide that surveillance data to my enemies. I have not done so to date because my uses for it aren't yet potential at the stage of development I have achieved. I may not ever be able to do so at the rate I am going, so have not been particularly active in assessing the specific models/products that may enable my purposes, which is to automate operations and production of my personal manufacturing tools.
As a result the only code I have written was back in the early 2000s, when I used raw HTML to compose simple websites using Notepad.
Thanks!
