Let's get straight to the point. Below are a few things you should keep in mind when you are new to maximize your earning as well as keep up your interest in this game.
Buy the spellbook. I guess everyone who is reading this must have already bought it, if not then what are u waiting for... its the only way u can earn money.
If u have 7.5$ exactly lying around invest it in this game to buy a quest potion. I cannot stress enough how important this is. If I got it in the early stages ahhhhhhhhhh just get it u will never regret it.
If u don't have that money keep playing ranked. Play till u reach 90% then after 10 hours play again. This is how I play this game.
Hold on DEC earned from ranked games to earn SPS. Over time the compound interest will show its magic. If u haven't bought quest potion converts that DEC and buy it first.
Rent cards to get to higher ranks.
