RE: Generational Rocks | HCA #1

I thought I was the only one who made "rock gardens" 😁

Your husband's is much prettier than mine, though! He did a great job of it! I didn't have a dump truck, so I carried those rocks home from my daily walks, one at a time over the course of weeks, back in 2007. They were first arranged carefully on an old piece of furniture in the house where my husband and I lived. When he passed, I moved them in a box and put them outside. I didn't take the care your husband did in arranging them, though, so "Kudos! to him and his creativity!

I loved the part of the story about how your husband bonded with his father over the discussion about the rocks, and how your father-in-law shared the fieldstone with him. It's a beautiful thing how all of that ties back to your family heritage and the masons of your village. Such an entertaining and excellent story, which you told with your usual flair! 💖

And most trees I've planted have a fairy ring, even my strawberries (not pictured)

We'll not start on the indoor collection. Thanks for sharing your sentimental ones.
