RE: Hive Creators: A Proposal for Digital Adoption and Community Activation for Hive (Update)

in #hivecreators2 months ago

Good critique that makes us reflect! It's very insightful of you to leave this kind of comment, because marketing is so subjective when traditional metrics aren't established.

We've been conservative with the deliverables because the budget is low compared to what we usually see in marketing in this sector, where they spend millions of dollars.

40% of the budget is returned to the community through proposed initiatives that could be effective.

But in your opinion, we should do another post talking about the content. We could increase the amount of design or videos; the strategy isn't just about design, it's about distribution, creating communication strategies, keeping the community active...

So we could also consider reducing the budget a bit and looking for ways to save, or extend this until after Hive's anniversary in March 2027.

Thanks.

This is not what I meant. Do you have anyone with real experience in marketing from a business perspective on your team? If so, please let them look at my previous comment.

Your key deliverables are output metrics. There isn't a single outcome metric.

Buying outputs is a rookie mistake. Hive should not be making such mistakes. We need outcomes. Not likes or followers on other social media. Not videos, posters, banners or whatever. That's what shabby marketing agencies offer.

What you're offering is a certain amount of content. Making more content at the same price will not make the proposal any more appealing. We are a company. We need customers. High-spending and long-term ones.

You ask for $10,000. If you get a single client and we sell them a jetliner, it's a great deal. If we sell them an ice cream, it's a terrible deal.

Unless you're targeting corporate investors or businesses looking for a blockchain to back their billion-dollar app, consider Hive an ice cream store around the corner of your birthplace. How many customers do you as a marketing company need to bring to that ice cream place so that it's worth for them to pay you ten thousand?

Imagine the owner of the place knows at least a bit about marketing. They have a look at your offer and say: "Oh my, these are some amazing visuals! I really love the video with the kittens! But seriously, guys, what's in it for me? I am selling ice cream, not begging for likes online?"

What would you tell the good old ice cream guy?

In a nutshell, what the proposal completely lacks in order to look at least considerable:

What are the expected outcomes and why. Who is the targeted demographic and what is their expected behavior (retention rate; lifespan; do you expect them to invest in Hive, build their stakes slowly, or dump their earnings on a weekly basis; do they speak English or need translators; ...). How many users can you onboard and how.

A professional marketing company backs these numbers and assumptions with real data. Besides, you'd get a detailed analysis of risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, externalities and so.

BTW do you guys read in English or did you translate this to Spanish?

We completely understand your concern and recognize that digital marketing thrives on hard numbers and metrics. Thanks to your feedback, we realized our initial proposal fell a bit short. This is largely because it’s challenging to pivot toward lower-cost initiatives when the bulk of the budget is already tied up in community management, creative content, and supporting digital events with influential brands.

Our main goal is to help you retain users and build genuine trust across social media. We truly believe that by combining dApp development with active social media outreach, this blockchain investment will deliver a real, measurable impact.

We are laser-focused on an audience that values Hive’s practical utility: content creators searching for an alternative platform, developers looking to build and integrate apps on the network, and traders who see Hive as a valuable asset.

Moving forward, we will update the proposal to extend the timeline to 10 months. We are keeping the budget exactly the same, but we will be delivering significantly more value.

Thanks.

Still not quite what I meant :)

We apologize for not being able to respond to you.

Regarding your question about whether we have a team with marketing experience, yes, we do, with experience in marketing focused on the sector.

Regarding translations: We focus on English and Spanish, and we want to test the Brazilian market.

With respect to adoption, we envision Hive as a technology focused on users who are likely to invest in or become users. We are not working based on the traditional approach of acquiring commercial clients because that would require a much larger budget. However, we will work on commercial strategies so that projects can see Hive as an alternative for developing or integrating communities. That's why we created: https://www.hivecreators.co/ideas
