Super dependent on the dev and how much experience they have.
I feel like a lot of good and simple idea could be implemented really fast.
Just look at how long it's taking wHIVE to get made (a week and testnet up and running? wtf?)
That's why so many people around here are focused on creating tools for devs, because we really need more people from the outside to discover us and get excited without getting shut down during the learning phase.
