Respecting what the community needs while listening to your own body is what a good leader does! Deciding not to force a big project when it just isnt the right time—specially after doing 10 whole years of events—takes a lot of guts and visual smarts.
Here are a few quick reasons why this was the right Move:
- Saving the Money: Steering clear of the proposal right now keeps the funds safe while prices are low. Waiting to bring it back when things are stronger makes way more sence.
- Keeping the Idea Great: Waiting untill European sponsors are ready means ChainCulture can be super awesome instead of rushed. Keeping the venue contacts warm and looking at that cultural Grant in December is really smart planning.
- Taking care of Yourself: Ten years of planning party stuff is a ton of work! Stepping back to rest protects your own energy and keeps you from getting burned out.
Turning HiveFest XI into a community-run event is such a cool way to see what decentraliztion is all about. It lets everyone who already bought plane tickets still hang out without hurting the chain.
Thank you for ten years of hard work, for keeping things totally honest, and for putting everyone else first. Cant wait to see what the city captains do next!
