I hear you buddy but its not that easy. There are several years worth of activities, partners, processes, etc for anyone who replaces me to catch up on. The handover isn't a one day type of thing. Everyone is welcome to step up but they should do this with the understanding that they need to be online every day, know how to manage projects, treat all people equally, work with a lot of different people irrespective of how much they like them or not, negotiate with various conferences, and constantly reject a lot of very highly respected people asking for salaries.
I'm accountable to all of Hive. Not to a few people, not to a couple of stakeholders, to everyone irrespective of where they're from and who they are and what they think. I don't take orders from any single person on this chain.
Don't know if you noticed but this post doesn't have much engagement. Its the same people talking over and over. Real question here is why aren't people responding.

When were you voted into this position?
Did anyone on Hive vote for you to be in this position?
How exactly are you accountable? You take orders from no single person yet are completely accountable to all of hive. Hmmm🧐
if we are talking about accounting...biggest % of budget has been donating to Venezuela and a mans dream to race a car. You have obviously done more than that...and i certainly wont say its all been a waste... but the amount of squandered cash on those things is pretty shocking.
i am not a person who likes to complain. I am a solution based person, i seek thrive in this life. For whatever reason i care about Hive, and im sorry, but the best solution for hive currently is you gone from VP lead. A person who thinks they are indispensable as you insinuate above...is the exact person who needs to be dispensed of.
A committee of elected people handling the role you play or have somehow assigned yourself…, they will be able to handle managing projects, conferences and being on line just fine.
You completely misread the entire post and my response.
I dont think i misread anything at all. The original post was a small breath of fresh air that is really a few years late in arriving to my eyes. The community has been calling for more austerity, transparency and KPI’s for a long time, from both VP and DHF.
I think your response is simply an avoidance of my key points/questions. Who elected you as lead of VP?? How long does your reign last? Who are you actually accountable too? What i see is a dissatisfied unheard community, and you feel disgruntled and unbudging.
I want to emphasize again that i do not deny the work you have given to this position. I’m sure it feels under appreciated.
That being said. My 2 cents is that if you truly cared about the future hive, you would step down willingly and aid a transition to an elected committee.
Change is needed yesterday.
