EXODE announces pre-beta with new PVP features and the Alien Faction

Hello captains!

In the updates today, we are publishing two major new features.
Each of these two features is a major addition to EXODE.

Please note that both updates are already online and available in your collections.
This article gives some information on the first one.

Pre-beta

---

Since a few weeks, a special group of alpha testers have received an access to special pre-beta features.

This includes the following new features:

• Pre-beta Boosters receive a 1% chance to be an Alien Booster and spawn infested characters instead of normal ones.

• Infested characters allow a special PVP action. You can send them to other players collections, and infest their collection with these characters.

• This pre-beta pvp has been going on for some time already!

• Today you will be able to see the secretly infested characters other players have sent to you.

• So you can now check your collection already and see if someone attacked you, and infested all colonies you could make with these cards!

Very cool feature!
Are the chances of infestation linked with cooking? Or on planet type? Like on oceanic planet, uncooked fish increase/decrease chances?

so this is a done deal? It is past fools day now ...

What sort of attacks do they do? And what can you do in defence?

WAIT! ALL my Stugs and ALL my Tyrons are infected?

Does the infestation spread to other characters or just infect all of a given type?

I'm assuming that there is some way to cure them.

Cool feature but really requires more explanation . . . .

A cool sounding feature, but implementation could have been a bit better..
With no way of knowing, some people need to dig through thousands of cards to find out which ones are infested.
Also, the player experience of finding out your only copy of a card is now infested and no clear counter-play around that is very lousy :-/

You don't have to dig around thousands of cards . . . just keep them stacked an look. And ALL copies of a given card are infested so the pain isn't limited to people who have only one of a card. And I'm assuming that if you buy a new copy that it gets instantly infected as well.
