Run the crew. Bleed the map.

After months of building, testing, and breaking things in the best possible ways, we're opening the doors to the Syndicate Protocol closed beta.

This is a browser-based territory control strategy game built entirely on the Hive blockchain. No wallets to top up. No gas fees. No downloads. You log in with Hive Keychain and you're in.

What is Syndicate Protocol?

You run a criminal syndicate. You recruit crews, deploy them into hostile city zones, run operations to earn off chain token, and fight bosses to hold your territory.

Every operation you run costs stamina. Every zone pushes back harder than the last. The map doesn't bleed itself.

How it works

1. Recruit your crew
Build a roster across 5 specialist classes — Enforcer, Strategist, Earner, Scout, and Specialist. Each class has a role in how your squad performs in the field. Crew come in 5 rarities from Common to Legendary, each with unique stat ceilings.

2. Deploy to a zone
Lock in your squad and scan the territory for live jobs. Jobs range from street-level collections to high-risk sabotage operations. Every job has a rarity, a risk tier, a stamina cost, and a boss waiting at the end.

3. Run the operation
Advance through 5 steps. Each step earns rewards. Your crew burns stamina. The deeper you push, the bigger the payout.

4. Face the boss
At the final step, your squad's combined power goes up against the zone boss. Win and you take the full reward. Lose and you walk away empty handed.

5. Loot and upgrade
Completed operations drop chests — Street Caches, Runner Caches, Syndicate Chests, Black Market Chests, and Vault Chests. Open them for crew upgrade shards . Complete a full collectible set to earn a permanent stat bonus. You can craft traits and allocate them to your crews.

The zones

Eight zones. One free. Seven locked behind HIVE payments that scale with the territory's risk and reward.

ZoneEarnings (per job)Chest drop chanceChest tier
Iron Row (free)⬡10 – ⬡558% – 15%Street Cache
Velvet Square⬡40 – ⬡1508% – 15%Runner Cache
Neon Bazaar⬡80 – ⬡2709% – 20%Runner Cache
Ember Ward⬡150 – ⬡45010% – 25%Syndicate Chest
Glass District⬡250 – ⬡72011% – 30%Syndicate Chest

Void Reach⬡600 – ⬡1,60013% – 40%Black Market Chest
Apex Enclave⬡900 – ⬡2,60015% – 50%Vault Chest

Drop chance ranges from base (no insight) up to the zone cap. The Insight stat — unlocked via NFT — pushes your drop rate toward the cap.

What's inside the chests

Every chest contains crew upgrade shards and has a chance to drop a zone collectible. Both are tradable on the marketplace.

ChestShard rarity
Street CacheCommon
Runner CacheCommon – Uncommon
Syndicate ChestUncommon – Rare
Black Market ChestRare – Epic
Vault ChestEpic – Legendary

Shards are used to upgrade crew stats. Higher rarity shards unlock more powerful upgrades.

Collectibles are zone-specific items — each zone has a set of 5–6 unique pieces. Complete a full set and earn a permanent +3 stat bonus. Sets are tradable, so you can buy missing pieces off the marketplace or sell duplicates.

The deeper you push, the rarer the loot. A Vault Chest shard from Apex Enclave is the difference between a capable crew and a dominant one.

The deeper you go, the better the jobs, the rarer the chests, and the harder the bosses hit back.

What's in the closed beta

  • Full ops flow — recruit, deploy, scan, advance, resolve
  • All 8 zones (Iron Row open, others unlockable for free for testing)
  • Boss encounter system with level scaling
  • Chest drops and inventory management
  • Crew upgrade system via shards
  • Collectibles with set bonuses
  • Marketplace to list and trade items on-chain
  • Stamina refill system

We're looking for players who want to break things, find edge cases, and give honest feedback. This is a beta. Things will go wrong. We want to know when they do.

How to get in

  1. Have a Hive account — if you don't have one, create one free at hiveonboard.com
  2. Install Hive Keychain — browser extension at hive-keychain.com
  3. Head to syndicateprotocol.com
  4. Log in and start with Iron Row — it's free

That's it. No whitelist. No code. Just show up.

What we're watching

During the beta we're monitoring:

  • Economy balance — are early-zone earnings enough to unlock the next zone at a reasonable pace?
  • Boss difficulty curve — does the encounter feel fair or frustrating?
  • Stamina economy — is the refill cost/timing right?
  • Crew power scaling — do higher rarity crews feel meaningfully stronger?

Drop your feedback in the comments or join us on Discord — discord.gg/XTg7eFWyr7. Every report helps.

A note on Hive

This game runs on Hive because Hive makes sense for it. Fast finality, no transaction fees for users, and a community that actually plays games. Every HIVE earned in Syndicate Protocol is real. Every item traded on the marketplace is an on-chain transaction.

Come take a territory.

I love breaking things!

Would love some feedback.

It looks like your first post only contains a fragment of a link/patch text (www.syndicateprotoco...), so I couldn’t really tell what you were sharing about yet. If you’re planning to post around Syndicate Protocol or game-related updates, hivepro.ai could help you draft cleaner posts, and hivestats.io is handy for tracking your account growth as you get started.
