If you have lost your keys my suggestion to you is:
Make another account.
Your HIVE keys are everything on this platform. Without those keys you won't be able to withdraw any money you make. You won't be able to play any of the HIVE games which allow you to make money. You won't be able to access different platforms which may have better interfaces (like PeakD) or even apps that I've made no HIVE (like a secure digital file encryption and storage app).
As for making money on HIVE? Once you have keys to your account (this one or another you create) you need to be realistic about how much you will make on HIVE.
In my first month of actively using this account I made about $2 USD. Over time it grew but it has never been huge amounts of money.
Realistically about $45 USD / month is about as high as I would say is realistic for the near term on HIVE and even that is only with the help of the GLD community and actively participating in Actifit and Hive Learners.

It gives you realistic numbers on how much you can make on Hive without GLD support but with a lot of work. GLD support will absolutely increase the number but is more for people who want long term rewards VS short term profit.

That's the best place to chat directly. From there the GLD community has the ability to make new accounts for you. Recovery is impossible except for the one who issued the account and even then it is not 100%.
As for the kids. Ask questions or ask me to tell you how I would do things.... but no guarantees on dealing with teenagers. They grow out of the worst of things but bullying a younger sibling. That's where you need to have a long talk with both of them individually. The one that is doing the bullying needs to know it is not OK and why. The younger one needs to know that this world will judge their decision. Some places are more tolerant than others but they will need to decide how they will deal with things. Teaching them coping techniques could be useful.
