:D All good. Have fun and good luck. If I may suggest... "Hive Keychain" extension for the web browser is very very useful. Makes HIVE way way easier :)
Sort of. She didn't write down her passwords when she started with Hive. Newbie mistake. Having no luck getting recovery keys. I got her email and preferred username, created an account using one of my account creation keys and sent her the passwords. I think she is having issues trying to get things setup.
I’m doing it this way, but first I need to have the Google Chrome extension because otherwise it won’t let me do it directly. I also had to log out of my account on the laptop, but it’s still active on my phone. Until I fix that, I think my current account is interfering with the one you created for @terganfpt,me.
Hmm.. I wish I could help you on that part. I exclusively use HIVE on my computer not my phone. I had issues with the keychain and connection on the phone that just don't happen with the laptop version of Hive.
I'm happy you keep messaging me on HIVE but wish I could upvote your contents and know you would get the rewards which I know can happen on the new account. Keep me posted as you get closer on that.
Hey, I’m really sorry to bother you again, and I truly appreciate everything you’ve already done for me, especially after all the help you gave me with my previous Hive account.
I’ve been trying to log into the new account, but I finally realized the issue seems to come from the forwarded email containing the keys. When I copy the posting key from the email and paste it into Hive Keychain, some characters are missing, so the key becomes incomplete and Keychain says it’s an incorrect private key. I also learned that Hive keys cannot be edited or manually completed, so even if I try to add the missing characters, it still fails.
So the problem is not that I don’t understand the process, but that the key seems to get cut off or corrupted when copied from the forwarded email format.
If it’s easier for you, there are two possible ways that might work better without causing you too much trouble:
Telegram (if you use it):
You could simply copy and paste each key directly in plain text (Posting, Active, Owner, Memo).
Email:
You could send a completely new email (not forwarded) and paste each key directly as plain text, or attach them in a simple .txt file. That should prevent any characters from being cut off when copying.
Thank you again for all your patience and kindness, and I’m really sorry for bothering you so much,@tetganftp.
I don't use telegram. If everything else fails I'll download and see what I can do. Although if you don't use Discord you may want to consider downloading and using it. Many Hive users use it and it is the preferred method for private conversations amongst HIVE users.
I personally dislike Discord but have decided it is a necessary evil if I'm using Hive ;)
I’m going to try it now this way, and I think it should work already. I honestly feel really bad that you’ve had to keep trying to help me there and that I’ve been bothering you so much.
I also hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy a great vacation with your family. @treganftp
Good afternoon, @terganftp. I'm setting up the account, that's why I haven't written to you.

Good morning. What a hassle I'm going through—it won't recognize my keys to log in to the new account. Let's see... hopefully I can get it working.
I'll try myself to verify the code. Have you loaded Hive keychain?
Typically it makes life much much easier
Okay. I loaded your post key (not memo, active, or main) and it works just fine with HIVE keychain and ecency.
That's the login screen
That is logged in to ecency.
and then I tried without the keychain just cutting and pasting the password from the email that was sent.
but if you are trying to manually enter... Yeah. It is easy to have issues.
she is setting a new account???

I hope she figure out!! I can help her with some support after she gets it done!

I’m doing everything possible. I’ll keep you updated, thank you. @terganftp
I understand, I will try later and I’m sorry for all the inconvenience.

I've resent an email as plain text.
Hopefully that works better.
