RE: Sneak Peek of A Monster HIve Infographic: [FIRST DRAFT] Feedback Welcome

in #hivemarketing4 years ago (edited)

This is a great concept! Love the idea of making this as easy to understand as possible as I try to do the same with my bluffer's guide series. Some feedback from me but feel free to take it or leave it:

First part

If this is for developers who understand tech speak then that's fine but "dApps", "scalable" and those kinds of terms are probably meaningless to your average Joe. For example, social media sites like FB or Twitter don't advertise "3 second transactions" as a reason to join. It's all about making connections and keeping in contact with friends.

Accounts are also free on FB and Twitter, you just sign up with an email address but maybe it's still important to leave in. You can probably have different versions and do some testing to see which one gets more views when you use it for marketing.

Second part

Agree with another commenter about the phrase "staked" in the first bit, maybe just "locked in" would suffice or you can have an asterisk * that then gets referred to in small print at the bottom. I think you can replace "bloggers" in the 2nd box with something like "other users" or "other accounts" as it might seem like this is just a place for blogging but not supporting the short format/micro blogs?

I also think you might want to remove the $ in the "$HIVE" as it makes it sound like someone should spend $1000 when actually you just want to buy 1000 HIVE tokens (you may also need to put in another ** and put in small print at the bottom something like "price of HIVE tokens may fluctuate depending on exchange prices").

Finally, I think you could also touch upon "consumer rewards" and have mention (with your illustration) that actually, some of that $0.05 goes back to you as a consumer. It's not exactly half so maybe an arrow with x and another *** mentioning that as a consumer of content, you also get some of that money back.

But yeah that's my feedback - really great start though and keep up the great work, hope that this helps and looking forward to seeing the different versions you will use!

thanks for this advice......on the next edit i'll remove the $, and maybe use the word 'creators' not 'bloggers'.
yeah, i added the curation rewards illustration too

Great! Have you got an updated version posted?

what would you put in the First Part?
it's hard to describe all the dapps on Hive, because its way more than just peakd. or hive.blog....that is where i got stuck on the first part.

Yeah agreed, it's a tricky one and I'm not a marketing expert at all! I'd probably put things in about the type of content that's posted. Every day blogs, life hacks, music, science, travel, finance etc... topic specific interests that can be viewed on peakd, hive.blog but targeting the casual users?

also have you checked out the easy way to get a Hive account? https://hiveonboard.com/create-account
The Learn section on there is where this infographic is going....so they already have an easy way to sign up.

I just had a look now and it looks really simple, that infographic will definitely be helpful!

yeah i added this to my most recent edit that you can see on my latest post.
