Meet The Newest Lady Of Hive
Firstly, the most brief way to describe myself is fierce, determined, and bright. A lady who is not keen to compromise, whose smiles brighten up the rooms and others around her, and is quite innovative. Yes, that is basically who I am.
My name is Kasali Bisola, and I hail from Osun State, Nigeria. I am a lady with the willingness to do what it takes to actualize those ideas in my mind. Being the determined type, sourcing out people with sound ideas and innovative minds is what I enjoy doing. Just having them voice diverse opinions on how best or how else to get things done. In particular, solutions that rarely come to mind that are not always routine (in deep, meaningful thoughts).
As determined as I am, brightness is not always found far from me. I love to make sure there's a lively atmosphere around me to bring smiles upon people no matter how little. Many know me as someone who has a ready, bright smile on, whether it's a first-time meeting or frequent meetings. It reminds me of particular instances, one of which was when I arrived at a sector of employment in education; I was approached by one of the staff who told me pointedly that I have a beautiful smile, which gives off a positive and bright aura whenever I am around.
There's also live testimony from family, friends, and colleagues about this aspect of mine. Still on the peculiarities of what makes me up, I have to state one thing: I am quite empathetic. Putting myself in the shoes of others, so to say, evaluating situations others are in and trying to relate, to be able to proffer the best solutions or at least bring comfort to them. I believe it is a way of showing love (true love), unlike that which is just a mere jumble of words. A kind of attribute is a positive kind, which gets people drawn to you as a person and confides in you, even if all you do is given listening ears.
I am regarded as a bookworm, well, not necessarily nerd-ish. I admire smart and intelligent people, hence the need to be that same thing I have admiration for. Reading books for knowledge's sake and imparting this knowledge to people has got to be one of the things I enjoy having. Aside from being a bookworm, I am someone who is competitive (for a good cause, of course). I have a thrill for competitiveness, even way back to childhood up to my teenage years; being competitive gave me an edge to what I want to see myself having thereon and in the nearest future.
Many times, in Bible school, I always represent my parish in quizzes, debate competitions, and recitation competitions. My goal(s) during this period was to emerge as the winner for the age categories I was representing because failure is not an option for me. A particular event happened to me, which I can not in any way forget. It was during one of those competitions. I emerged as the winner for the area, zone, and regional levels and was actually excited that I would be the one representing at the national level (which was the final stage).
However, something shocking happened as one of those teachers in charge of the competition wanted to have their candidate, who had the second position, go in my stead for no valid reason at all except for what I see as an obvious favouritism for their candidate. So, in their (the teachers in charge) bid to get what they want, my hopes for nationals were momentarily crushed. Yes, momentarily, because I did not relent but pushed further for going into the recitation competition, once again I made it through the area level, zonal level, and victoriously represented the national level while ranking top on the list of winners.
This attribute of relentless determination and pursuit for the top makes me fierce and goal-focused. Coupled with the fact that I made the nationals, another great feat I achieved together with my team was emerging in the top five in an international mathematics competition. Teamwork is actually great when you have got the right people who have similar interests and goal orientation that you have; massive efforts and excellent results would be achieved. I am also a trained and certified Customer Service Representative (CSR), so I have the perfect experience of great teamwork and exceptional service.
In respect to my family, two beautiful souls make up my world. First is my mother; my mother is the top woman and queen of my home. She is the most beautiful woman my eyes have ever beheld, so captivating. A peace-loving woman, quite the disciplinarian, yet a great consoler with words of wisdom and smiles, that's who she is. Ah, I cannot fail to add that she is the best cook ever in the whole wide world! Second is my sister, whose beauty is not far-fetched seeing she's my mother's daughter, captivating beyond words. She's a good cook, smart and wise, plus a grammarian.
They both love me so much, and I can boldly say I love them much more, the beautiful people who make up my world! I've got hobbies—reading books (novels, articles), watching movies (animes, k-drama series, Holly's, Bollys, and Nollywood), and listening to music with great instrumentals. These help in reviving my spirit, especially when I feel down; they help keep my groove on, most especially the music in some movies, lol. I do enjoy admiring creative exhibitions.
As regards to my career, I bagged a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. A career in science, which spikes my interest to know the in-depth physiology of humans. The part of my career that I thoroughly enjoy is the medical, industrial, and practical aspects. Moreover, another reason why I take so much interest and love for my career is because of the interactions and relations I have built, most especially with people of different fields of occupation. Nevertheless, I still hope to build more rapport with others in the future and gain further insight regarding the future my career carries. So, here's about all and a lot about me, and I am really honored to be a part of this wonderful society and hope that I will be able to contribute to and, of course, learn from this great platform.
