Pepero Day is a completely consumer holiday in Korea but it comes at a perfect time. Right before the big exams in Korea this is a kind of pick me up on November 11th.
Pepero snacks are shaped like the number one so when stacked up they make 11.11 which according to the snack company means November 11th is Pepero Day. It is tradition to give the one you love a box of these pepero snacks on November 11th.
There is even a song about it. I'm adding this song to my holiday playlist.

11.11 is the elections in inauguration of the new prince Carnival in the Netherlands. In effect, the people building vehicles for Carnival in February, show what they already have, or better said, its a lot of beer drinking at places where these vehicles are build, therefore more beer than viewing what has been build already hahaha
Pepero for everyone, especially to the new carnival prince. These vehicles are called floats in parades. Actually the ones that float are the participants.
