I wanted to build this kind of a "house" for a while. Just a few months ago our toddler started building her little houses from blankets and pillows. It started to become her little evening ritual before going to sleep. So this was when we decided that it's time to make her own little tepee. If you google "toddler tepee" you can find a lot of beatiful ideas, but somehow they look too clean, to sterile. We wanted to make something that looks more natural, so one day we all went to the forest and picked the treess that we would like to see in our own tepee.

Harmony even helped to carry them home.

I took off the bark and dryed them for some 4-5 days. Just so that it didn't felt sticky anymore.

My initial idea was to make two tripods and then put a longer stick that goes from one tripod to the other one. But it would take up a lot of space, so we whent with just one construction.

And instead of using just 3 sticks, we used 6. If it's just 3 then there is to much space between the legs and the covering material is bending in.

Harmony was very interested in this project and she helped a lot.

And she loved the tepee a lot as well.

The result turned out just as we imagined it and our toddler loves it a lot. I know that many people dream about a tepee, but somehowe they don't make it. Or mabey they whant to buy them, but there to expensive? On this project we spent exactly ZERRO euros. So I don't understand where is the problem.

Hope you will have a great day ;)
