It has been raining steadily for a month now and so my one-year-old fig tree decided to give us a summer tribute of a single (but quite large) fruit. I had to pluck it before the birds find it, and I'm going to let the little guy ripe at home for a day or two before trying it. It smells delightfully sweet though!
Thank you nature :)
My inlaws have a fig tree in the garden, so waiting for the delicious fruit. I love them apparently by Celtic horoscope is the Fig Tree.
oh, I never new my tee up until you mentioned the celtic/druid horoscope... but as with all my horoscopes, I always get the worst deck 😱"Poplar" - the tree of uncertainty.
I had a.fancy one in chinese, fire dragon...bit I wanted the rats...
But wait cos poplars in duirdry are symbol of wealth, endurance in hardship and shield against fears... I could do with a poplar one. It is considered ruler of Autumn, my fav season.
OH!!! and I'm actually a rat :))) 🐭 a wooden kind :D
Fire Dragon that's sounds awesome! like the top of the esoteric food chain :D
Oh lucky youuuuu! 🐀🐭🐀🐭🐀 Cos they are really kind, empathetic, extremely intelligent beings. A forest ratty... How amazing.
awww thank you @yidneth! ❤️😌🌳🐭
Figgin' right!
I like the funky depth of field on that shot. Wish we could grow figs way up here.
haha, thank you, i love messing with photo filters on my phone.
Oh dude! This brings memories of my grandma, she always had the best Fig dessert there.
I love figs too, its a popular tree where I was born. Mediterranean has the best figs I've ever tasted.
Ahh that's because I didn't have the chance to tast my gradma's Figs hahahahaha
That is pretty cool to get any fruit on such a young tree.
My mother in law bought a cherry tree last year from a garden center and got 1 cherry on it last year. It was probably a few years old already when she bought it. This year there are hundreds of cherries on it so you might get a decent yield next year.
thank you! that's great! yeah, its a good sign... my tree is not even up to my waste yet, and is already fertile, so hopefully it will gain a lot of of height this year, so more fruits can come out of it. Unfortunately we dont have a good climate for growing cherries, I love them too!
