As I cross the road to work I see flowers growing in the community. The flowers are very beautiful then I took the camera phone and shot the flower. The name of the flower is Ipomoea. This type of species is most commonly called a moonflower beach or moon flower because the flowers are open at night.
UTILIZATION OF IPOMOEA SEEDS
In some articles I have read which Mexican inhabitants are known to have long used the seeds of the Ipomoea species to make psychedelic infusions and some scientific studies of Ipomoea contain alkaloid and ergoline compounds.
Alkaloids are natural chemical compounds that partly contain basic nitrogen atoms and include some of the compounds associated with neutral acids. Some synthetic compounds of similar structures are also called alkaloids. In addition to carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen, alkaloids also contain oxygen, sulfur and other elements such as chlorine, bromine, and phosphorus.
While Ergoline consists of various groups of chemical compounds whose structural framework is ergoline alkaloids. Ergoline is used clinically for vasoconstriction purposes. Vasoconstriction is a narrowing of blood vessels due to contraction of muscle walls of the vessels, especially large arteries and small arterioles.
The process is the opposite of vasodilation, dilation of blood vessels. This process is very important in staunching hemorhage and acute blood loss. When a person's blood vessels narrow, the blood flow will be limited or decreased, thus retaining body heat or increasing vascular resistance. Events like this will make the skin become pale because less blood reaches the surface, reducing heat radiation. At a greater level, vasoconstriction is one of the mechanisms that regulate and sustain the body.
