This was a really interesting and informative post, the homesteading community on steemit just continues to amaze me. Thank you for sharing this, it all just makes me so excited to own my own place where I can try out all these things.
I hadn't ever thought of using bottles for bricks but it's such a good idea for reuse!

yeah there is a great community here! i'm continually amazed how encouraging and supportive it is! i think i first saw bottles used to let light in and as art in a cob house and the way they brought light in was really amazing! i've been hooked ever since :) (i especially love the blue glass)
