We are doomed but we are not.
I still have faith in humanity, that we will wake up and realize the lies that we have been told and that we are living. Unfortunately the wake up will probably come after a die off that will be because of misuse of resources.
If we really valued life, would we have wars, would we abuse and consume fellow creatures, would we poison the environment thus ourselves.
As I have commented before solutions are there, and you have made a great choice to live the one that gives you joy. The research your doing cause much pain and grief but without it would the way you live now give fulfillment?
I am thankful for your example. By living so close to nature you realize the interconnections that will ultimately save us from ourselves.
