Cleaning - plants done1 crop Oct. 2021.jpg

On Sunday morning, to give me something I had to concentrate on, I unwound at least 200’ of vines from the pothos that never got care 2 years ago. Over the last 2+ years, it’s not been watered properly and has lost most of its leaves. I was able to save some of the shorter vines and cut the tips off the super long ones and put them in water.

Then I took it out of the pot, root pruned it and put it in a new pot with a bigger cache pot under it. It looks mighty pathetic now, but in 2 or 3 weeks, if I can manage to water it, it will come back. All that took me 2 hours to do.

Once that was done, I cleaned up and pruned the philodendron and the spider plant. That makes 4 hanging plants done. Only 4 more to go…

Cleaning - floor washed, books sorted crop Oct. 2021.jpg

Next I cleared off the floor by the front door and vacuumed, swiffered and scrubbed it to get the stone dust off. I wanted to try to get some of the books cleaned, inventoried, and sorted.

Cleaning - stuff for BuyNothing crop Oct. 2021.jpg

Later in the afternoon I started on them and actually finished all of them. Then I took photos of all the stuff I plan to list on BuyNothing and moved it all into the new bedroom to go to the attic if no one picks it up. It will go to Salvation Army or the local book sale sometime if no one wants it.

On Monday I have laundry to do and hope to get the BuyNothing stuff listed. Then I hope to move the treadmill back into the cleaned area and clean where it was. We’ll see….

So sorry about the sad anniversary. I still remember those milestones. It is a horrible but unavoidable part of the grieving process. May it not be all bit but contain some sweet memories @goldenoakfarm

I got through it and am out the other side now. Been too busy cleaning this week to be very sad...

Well it seems you are beyond super industrious as usual! Love seeing all that plant care, and I really hope someone comes and picks up all that stuff so you don't have to leave the homestead, I love little blessings like that:)
