NOTHING COULD STOP US
Not even 9° F(-13°C) temperatures!!!❄️🥶❄️ I worked real hard to make sure the insulation was done right and Christmas Eve was a true test. It went well, even without the wood stove and having to use a small supplemental propane heater. We all stayed comfortably warm without having to be bundled up.

This will just be a quick post with pictures to serve as a family keepsake to mark our first Christmas together at our cabin.
We had in our party Evan, Katie, Elfie, Evil(Evan's pup) Duke(Katie's pup), Ella(my pup), and of course, myself.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU
The carpet in the picture above was given to us free from a local company and really helped make the place feel more like home(compared to just plastic.😁) While we won't be keeping it long term, it is doing great for now.

SOME EARLY PRESENTS ON CHRISTMAS EVE
So we could have some awesome fun on Christmas Eve, I bought some games for us to play. Katie and Evan opened them and the fun ensued...
*A coloring book for them to work on together. It had hidden things in the pages you color.
*This picture shows one of the moments that makes me the happiest...my young man completely happy and carefree, and with the ones he loves the most.
AFTER A NIGHT OF GAMES, THEN SOME REST
We got up and took turns opening our presents.
*A new hatchet. It's already been put to work terrorizing every dead tree stump on our land.😂
*This gift card somehow managed to get wrapped with about 50 feet of industrial strength tape...it took about thirty minutes to get it opened.😂🤣
*Evan got a new pair of boots......but I'm not sure he understood how to wear them.😂🤣😂🤣
*Katie recently took up wood burning and was in need of a sander, so we got her one that I think will do a great job for her at least in the beginning.
*She kept making cute little faces like this⬆️⬆️⬆️....so I think she really liked it.🥰😘

SOME FAMILY EVEN STOPPED BY
*My dad and mom stopped by to visit a bit, and bring Evan a few presents.
All and all, it was a great Christmas! The greatest gift I received was of course being able to spend this Christmas with my family, and especially at our cabin for the first year. Katie, Evan.... I love yous so much and hope to spend many more Christmases together at our homestead.
P.S......EVANS FIRST TOOTH LOST AT THE CABIN HAPPENED THIS WEEK AS WELL!!!
