Ciplukan Plant in a Media Pot

image

Ciplukan plants are suitable for living in fertile, loose, not flooded soils, and have a pH close to neutral. Ciplukan plants can live on thin, rather dense, and poorly maintained soils with other wild plants. The condition of the top layer of the topsoil greatly influences the fertility of the plants

*seed preparation

The seeds are prepared from ciplukan fruit which is old and ripe from the ciplukan plant which is more than 2.5 months old. The fruit that is old and mature, if massaged with a finger will remove the soft flesh and seeds. These seeds are used as seeds that are ready for sowing

*Colorful Media Preparation

Seeding is done to germinate ciplukan seeds so that they grow into mini plants that are ready to be moved to the field

Maintenance of ciplukan seeds in seedling ponds is relatively easier to do than maintenance of seeds on beds. Seed seeding on beds needs to be covered with plastic hoods to suppress evaporation of water from the seedling media

The treatment of ciplukan plants in the planting area is similar to the treatment of ciplukan plants in the pot. Plant extension must be done immediately to replace the dead plant seeds. Watering the ciplukan plant does not need to be excessive, considering its need for water is not very different from secondary crops, which are relatively few

The use of fertilizers in ciplukan crops grown with intercropping systems is adjusted to the dosage of fertilizer used for the main crop
