Lost a Turkey

in #homesteading6 years ago

Today i saw something that made me think and realize that life is more than we know about humans. Since yesterday i noticed that in a cage there are two turkeys. I just felt at first that the other just wanted to be around the one covering eggs and i just felt 'great'! 20180908_085251-1.jpg
Today i went there to the pen to feed them and decided to check them and discovered that the one who joined the pen was replacing a dead turkey. I paused and wondered for a while! What sacrifice is this! It may have noticed that the turkey is dead and then shoved it to a side and slept on the eggs. It made me think about Nigeria as a nation especially in light with the coming election and i wondered how every administration that comes in start something new and neglects the policies of the previous administration...but here is a turkey taking over the responsibility of hatching the eggs of another yet humans will not do the same. This means that those fertilized eggs have a 100% chance of hatching effectively!

Hmmmm..from this incident , I perceive that animals are more considerate than human beings. That live turkey made a great sacrifice to enable the farm expand without limitation, no matter the hinderances. Thanx for this post @authori5ed. Please pamper that turkey very well. It is well with your turkey farm.
