Wow... I've been overwhelmed by the response to the list of preppers and homesteaders I posted on Sunday.
It's really inspiring to see that there are already so many homesteaders and preppers on steemit. This could be a great platform for sharing ideas and making connections.
Hopefully the list will help us all. If we follow each other and upvote and resteem posts that we feel should be shared more widely then all homesteaders and preppers on steemit should benefit.
The list has certainly grown - now with over 50 on it. I'm sure there will be some more that I haven't found yet and new people are joining every day. If you do come across any other homesteaders or preppers who aren't on the list point them in my direction and I will add them to version 3.

Don't feel too bad - it seems I'm the only one from Wales so far.
Hard to recruit because Bitcoin is not available to be used in a lot of places. Like one hotel chain, a couple restaurants all in the big cities. But I shall give it a go. Thanks

I'm trying to get him to add some text to his video-only posts so his payouts go up.
I'm a Canadian too but I live in Guatemala now, doing my homesteading down here where it's warm.

Thanks @pennsif. I uploaded my first video under ther prepping tag this morning here and added a video of our food producing garden under the gardening tag here.
I guess we should aim to keep our tagging consistent. Should we target "prepping" and "homesteading" or is there a specific hash tag that this group should use?
I would use either as they apply. I wouldn't suggest using a specific tag for this group as our posts are going to vary so much and there are existing tags that will serve them well. Prepping Homesteading Gardening DIY
Agreed. I believe it is okay to use up to 5 tags, so it could be #prepping, #homesteading and 3 other tags as appropriate if a post is appropriate to both preppers and homesteaders. Otherwise drop one or the other.

I'm sure more will come :-) I promote other sites often. I used to be exclusively on YouTube but now I'm VidMe only for posting video's and Minds and Steemit and Gab.ai and others are where I'm most active until YouTube sorts it's policies out (if it ever does) I've had more support from the communities and especially the teams behind the sites in the short months that I've been on them than I ever did from YouTube after being on there for over 4 years.
Please add us to your list! We are a family that strategically relocated about 3 years ago. We left everything behind to follow our dream of living a more free life and having a homestead.
