Spookified: Mysterious Biringan - The Lost City, Phiippines

in #horror6 years ago

Biringan City is a place that is said to be invisibly. It is truly famous but it only appears to the eyes of selected people.

Is this city truly invisible, or could it be a portal to the realm of engkanto?
This one is probably a place you don’t want to travel, but if you are looking for an epic adventure Biringan is the perfect place. But there is no guarantee that you can get out of this place.
It is said that Biringan City lie between Gandara, Tarangan and Pagsanha in Samar province of the Philippines. How could it be possible that this city exist?

There are many mythical places in this world including the legendary Atlantis the lost continent, Zerzura Saharan city known as the "oasis of little birds" rumored to be full of treasure. And in the Philippines we have Biringan City.
Because of fear of retribution from the inhabitants of the lost city, the local only talk about it in hushed whispers. The city is inhabited by supernatural beings: the Engkantos (Enchanted being), it said that the engkantos are shapechangers who can transform as human or animal, without philtrum, a vertical groove between the nose and the upper lip, they are more terrifying.

Those who have seen this mythical city have said that there are many buildings, but it more looks like cathedral buildings. It is described as dazzling city of light with high and magnificent structures equipped with advanced technology by some ships that passed by.
According to the story anyone who have seen this city had been victims of demon possessions.
I remembered a friend of mine kuya Paeng, told me a story about his visit to the enchanted world. It is hard to believe to the things that you don’t actually see right? But I somehow believe in superstitions. He said was the engkantos who takes him to their land. He was sleeping under the tree that afternoon but he woke up in a place where he can’t imagine even in his wildest dream. He said that there are many people, he was offered a black fruit but refused to take it. I know it is not a coincidence. The folklore tells the same story.

In some case small number of bus drivers blamed the engkanto for being lost to Biringan City. They said that engkantos controls their mind to take the path of Biringan. And they found themselves lost.
If there are an unexplained death in the area, it is believed that an engkanto abducted them and taken their soul. Left behind is a lifeless body. But there is a rumor that the body is not actually the body instead a banana tree log, with a spell cast on it to appear like a body.
No one knows where the Biringan exactly lies; no one can ever tell how to go there. It will only show to the ones who really believe. We can’t deny the similarity of the stories of the people who claims to witness the mystery of Biringan City. If it doesn’t tickle your thought when you’re awake, it will surely visit your imagination while you sleep.

Do you believe in mystery? what would you do if you get lost in the middle of Biringan City.
