Great dark comedy, not so much horror aside from the gore. Enjoyably suspenseful. I really liked how they toyed with whether a character will die or not the entire film, and then killed them all in the end. I barely remember the first 5 Final destination movies but that didn't take away the enjoyment. I thought this movie was really funny at times, some very creative kills esp that MRI death scene and the plot actually made some sense too. The performances were pretty good also. I’m confused don’t this franchise got bread to blow on crazier effects- or has it always had these type of cheesy effects (ie was it an intentional choice to go that route and convey that tone)? I am actually glad that in this movie, everyone died. Just goes to show that you just gotta enjoy the time you have left, and death is inevitable. I felt no connection to any of the characters to be honest, so seeing them go out in these gory ways was kind of fun. The effects were kind of meh in terms of the noticable cgi. wish they used some realistic props for some scenes instead but it is what it is. A decent film 3/5 stars for me.
