This is very detailed @maverickfoo and so much more detail explanation and example. I think in order to get more exposure one will need to spend a lot of time to write content and build followers. Imagine if a person who works 9-6 and spend time writing after work he/she might not enough time to engage with followers, and curate contents in Steemit. Really not easy to write quality content and engage with followers daily with the quality comment too.
But I think the reward will be good after successful and hard work did pay off. While everyone definition of success will be different. Mine will start from small like getting a daily post with $3 then slowly move to $5, $7, to $10 without using bidbot. Imagine he/she post daily and almost every post he/she will get $3, it will be a great motivation.
