One time I was shopping at the grocery store, a woman approached me, admiring my locs. "Your hair is really unique," she said. I thanked her and smiled, but then she asked if she could touch it. I playfully replied, "I don't let just anybody touch my hair." The woman smiled and said "Oh, I understand, it's personal."
We chatted for a bit about hair care and styling and she mentioned how she had always been fascinated by locs. I shared some tips with her, and she was grateful. As we parted ways, she thanked me for the nice conversation and I thanked her for the compliment, and we both went on our separate ways.
