I've visited the Paramaribo Zoo after seven years.
It's kind of sad how people are forgetting our one and only local zoo. Our zoo is located at Spathodelaan, Cultuurtuin. For a very long time, the zoo was in bad condition. The animals were fed and nurtured very poorly due to critical financial circumstances. In 2020, our zoo has undergone a big transformation, because it was seized by the government. The Paramaribo zoo is now a Flora and Fauna center. They even have a pool now. Different species of birds are to be spotted along with a few tigers, snakes, donkeys and monkeys, etc. I got most excited when I saw the Ocelot.
